Importance of Baptism

Water baptism

The Bible teaches the importance of water baptism as an essential act of faith, performed in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As Christians, we believe in biblical baptism because Jesus Himself set the example for us. Scripture shows that Jesus was baptized in water, affirming its spiritual significance. In the Gospel of Luke, it says, “When all the people were baptized, Jesus was baptized too. As he was praying, heaven was opened” (Luke 3:21). This passage highlights the power and purpose of Christian water baptism as an outward expression of faith and obedience to God.
